Assana spent the cold crisp morning with her horses. She spent time grooming them, making sure there was nothing caught in their winter coats and that no ice or snow was clinging to them. She gave each one a hug and a treat before she started training for the day.
She spent the morning running Dusty Cloud alongside the river. The air was crisp and cold and the snow wasn't as deep along the river.
When Assana was satisfied that he'd stretched out enough she took him to the Equestrian Center. There were a few events on today and she was hoping that he would qualify for some of them.

Assana was rapt when she found out he qualified for the advanced Show Jumping, so she immediately entered him in the Alto Championship.
They had a flawless round and won a nice new trophy.

While she was at the equine center she found out that Autumn Cloud qualified for another advanced competition. She raced home with Dusty and mounted Autumn. They rode back to the center, Assana used it as a warm up exercise.
They made it back just in time for the start of the race.
The run there must have tired Autumn more then Assana had first though as they only just managed to place 2nd in the Riddle Cup Advanced Race.

Later that night after dinner, Assana got a phone call from the Equine Center. They told her that they had someone interested in purchasing Clipclop for their daughter's birthday.
Assana was so happy that she had found a suitable home for the gentle guy that she went out and woke him. She brushed him and told him about his new home and how he'd fit in perfectly. When he was all neat and tidy, she took him to the Center where his new owners were waiting to take him home. ((Sold for $6,224))

The next morning Assana used the last of her grapes to make some Grape Pancakes for breakfast. They were a favourite and she had gotten very good at making them.
The good food gave her a boost to her already happy mood. She did her chores and busied herself with the horses while she decided what she was going to do that day.
There were several competitions on later and she wanted to enter Dusty in another one. As she thought about it she groomed the Stallion and made his coat gleam.

Assana took Dusty Cloud down to the center where the show jumping events were being held. She entered him into the Advanced class, Hurtado Classic, and was proud when they came first, taking another trophy to add to their collection.
She was tempted to try the international competition that was also being held there, but decided against it at the last minute.

Assana spent the rest of the day training Dusty Cloud and Autumn Cloud. When she got back from the training grounds Cloud Magic surprised her with a small palomino paint colt she quickly named Magic Charlie (Charlie).
Assana woke up early and let the horses out as the sun was rising. Charlie burst into an excited gallop the moment he was out of the stall. He seemed to be braver then all the last foals, venturing further from his mother then any of the others had.
When Assana was done with the morning chores of feeding brushing and cleaning, she went back inside to make some more horsie treats.

Assana spent alot of time getting to know Magic Charlie and getting him used to her being there. She groomed him and talked to him and then fed him something extra before bed.
She spent the rest of her night painting before she finally went to bed.

Assana spent the next few days around the house with the horses and at the training grounds. She worked mostly with Dusty Cloud but little Charlie took great interest in what ever it was she was doing and followed them everywhere.
She mostly worked on the horses weaknesses and greatly improved Autumn Cloud's jumping ability and Dusty Cloud's racing speed.

It wasn't long until Magic Charlie matured into a gorgeous stallion.
Assana knew it was time to start looking for a new home for Autumn Cloud. She was completely race trained and was ready to become a real champion. Assana rang the manager of the Equestrian Center before she went to bed, and asked if she knew anyone competitively showing. The manager said she's make some phone calls and see if anyone wanted to buy.

Assana spent all day with Autumn. She was very attached to the mare but knew it was time to let her go and become the star she was born to be.
When Assana took Autumn to the equine center, the manager was waiting for her at the door. She was well impressed with Autumn and gave her a carrot as she talked to Assana about these people from Riverview. They had a son who was working his way up through the horse world and was looking for a calm horse for racing.

Assana trusted the manager when she said they were good people. The deal was made and Autumn was sent to Riverview. Assana received the money in her bank account, $10,377 simoleons.
While she was still at the Equestrian Center the manager told her that a partner was dropping out due to health complications and offered her the partnership if she could buy him out. For $35,000 simoleons she became an official partner of JRA International Equestrian Center.

When Assana finished signing all the partnership papers she wandered around getting to know the place and the people a little bit better. One of the stable hands talked to her about a stallion that had come in recently. He said he was the prettiest horse he had ever seen and told her how he wished he could have him, but couldn't afford to buy him.
Assana was touched by the boys words and gentle manner so she agreed to have a look at this horse.

When she saw the stunning horse, Assana made a deal with the stable boy. She'd buy the stallion and train him up a bit. All she wanted in return was for the stallion to sire a foal with her Cloud Magic. The boy agreed eagerly and they shook hands on it.
She took Banner to the training yard and tested him out on the cavalletti. Even though they were half covered in snow he did wonderful. She could tell why the boy had fallen for this gentle stallion.

Assana spent the next few days working with Banner and Charlie's basic training. Banner didn't need as much work as Charlie so she focused her efforts on the recently matured colt. He had alot of speed but no discipline and no jumping ability. He was very sure footed and she wandered if he had any hope for cross country.
Banner was beautiful and well mannered and a general pleasure to ride. She hoped she could make Charlie just as good.

After all the chores were done and the horses had their breakfast, Assana was eager to go for a ride with Cloud Magic. She loved her beautiful mare and she felt a little guilty for spending so much time with the other horses.
The run seemed to have livened up the mare and she played with Banner when they got back home.

Assana entered Charlie in his first racing competition after a brief session at the training grounds. He won, bringing home the Simmer's Cup Trophy.
Assana was riding the winning high when she decided to enter him in a jumping competition in an hours time.

The Capp Horse Show was just a local competition and wasn't a major event, but after winning the racing competition she was confident that Charlie could win the jumping event too, despite his seeming lack of skill at it.
But apparently they weren't the worse ones there because they won the event. Assana hoped that no one was hurt as she had seen a few of the younger riders had been tossed from their cheeky horses.

The Stable Boy Assana had made a deal with rang her later that day and said that he'd agreed with the manager that Banner could be stabled at the center and he could do his classes there on the weekends. Assana was happy for him and with Cloud Magic pregnant with his foal she was more then happy to bring him back to the center.
The Stable hand thanked her profusely for all the training she'd done with him and paid her $5,280 simoleons. Assana tried to refuse the payment saying that it had been a pleasure to work with such a horse. But he insisted so she caved in and took the payment.

The stable hand was so happy to have Banner, he grabbed his grooming kit and began to groom him and talk to him with gentle words.
Banner was in the best of hands so Assana wandered down the aisle were the horses for sale were kept. There were alot of older horses, and as much as she wanted to she could not take them home. She had to keep reminding herself that she was running a training/breeding facility to become the best trainer in the world.
While she was thinking this she heard something banging on a stall door. She looked, and realized it was coming from the stall right down the end. She walked past all the elderly horses and came to an ornery stallion pacing and kicking out at his door.

The Thoroughbred was named Eclipse. He definitely had some anger issues. Assana watched him for a while. She wanted to help him. No-one would ever give him a home if they couldn't get near him.
The manager joined Assana at the stall and told her that they hadn't been able to get near this horse since he'd arrived weeks ago. He had been badly treated and had come in with an overweight issue.
Assana bought him and spent much of the night gaining his trust so she could put a saddle on him. She managed to not only get a saddle on him, but ride him all the way home without incident.

The next day, Assana left the horses together for the day and only brushed and fed them. She thought that if Eclipse got to know them and settle in it might make him a bit easier to work with. The others could benefit from a rest too.
So instead of her normal training routine she took a day for herself and cleaned the house. She later went out to the Winter Festival and went snowboarding and ice skating. She thought the snowboarding was great fun, but she absolutely loved ice skating. She indulged her inner child and started showing off with various spins and tricks.

Cloud Magic gave birth early the next morning. A beautiful dark little filly, named Bounty. She was very similar to Banner in colour, except for a white face and white legs.
Bounty had the potential to be the best, even at this age she was fast and very agile. She seemed to be very clingy of her mother aswell, which was a first for Cloud Magic's foals. They were normally more outgoing.
Assana spent the morning doing some light training and leading with Dusty for that evenings show.

Assana spent the afternoon at the Equestrian Center and worked with Dusty Cloud. They entered the Davis Derby and came first.
When Assana lead her stallion into the winners circle she was shocked to find the Mayer of Appaloosa Plains there along with all the council men and women. They congratulated her and told her that she had become very famous in the town for her knowledge of horses and her exploits. They awarded her $5,000 simoleons as a reward, and was officially recognized as the Equestrian Master of Appaloosa Plains.
