It was becoming colder everyday and nearly every morning there was a light fog. Assana made sure that all the horses were locked in their stalls, safe for the cold nights.
She was starting to get into a routine around the farm. Every morning she would check her garden, then let the horses out and groom them before letting them roam. Later when all the stalls were clean and the chores done, she would start with the training. She would take one or two of the horses to the training grounds and she would work on them until they were tired and then they would head home. Then she would cook dinner for herself and put all the horses in their stalls before heading to bed for a well earned rest.

Assana aspired to be perfect in all that she did, she worked hard to perfect her cooking, especially her autumn salad recipe, her favorite. And to make it even better, all the ingredients were home grown so it made it taste even better.
During the night a thief crept in. Assana was woken by the alarm and called the police straight away.
The policewoman arrived quickly and tried to apprehend him. But the thief did not go willingly and a scuffle broke out. He managed to hit knock the policewoman down and and then he bolted out the door without a glance back.
The policewoman tried to comfort Assana and tell her that she was safe and the thief didn't manage to take anything. She promised she'd do her best to hunt him down and put him behind bars. But this did little to console Assana, who had trouble sleeping the rest of the night.

To take her mind off the thief, Assana took Plum out to the training grounds and spent some time going over the jumps. The mare was a natural jumper and seemed to enjoy it so much it started to rub off onto her rider. By the end of the training session they were both happy and ready to go home.
Before heading home though, Assana heard there was a jumping even happening at the Equestrian center. She signed Plum up for the Christina Classic Advanced Jumping Competition.
The jumps were what they had been practicing all day, so Assana was not surprised when they placed first and received the Christina Classic Trophy. They went home very proud but tired.

As it got colder and colder, the vegetables started to go dormant. Assana was a little worried about what she would do for fresh food and horsie treats during the winter. She could always buy groceries for herself, but her precious horses might have to go without their daily treat of an apple or a carrot.
Later that day, Assana took Cannon and Plum to the training grounds. While Plum spent some time grazing, she worked on Cannon's racing skill. He had potential to become a very fast horse, so she was eager to start him off on the training track.
While Assana was training Cannon, a storm blew in.

Lightening started to fork the sky and rain started pouring down. Plum started to panic as lightening struck a tree not far from where she had been grazing.
Assana dismounted from Cannon and sent the obedient horse home with a slap on his rump. He galloped off without hesitation leaving Assana to deal with a very frightened Plum.

Assana managed to calm her down enough to get the saddle back on her. She rode her home as quickly as Plum could run. The storm chasing them home. They made it back safely and Assana locked all the horses up in their stalls. She made sure she locked Autumn Cloud in with her mum so they could comfort each other.
The morning after the storm, Assana went to let them all out of their stalls as per usual. Autumn raced out ahead of her mother and then grew up.
Shortly after Autumn matured, Magic became pregnant with Cannon's foal.

Autumn Cloud was now mature enough to train, but before Assana started on the young mare she found a buyer for Plum.
After a few phone calls, Assana found a trainer that would finish off her training and would make sure she got into international jumping. She gave her one last hug before handing her reins over for $9,881 simoleons.

Assana spent the rest of the day putting Autumn through her paces and working on getting her saddle trained.
She was fast, but not as good a jumper as Plum had been. That could be improved with training though. But she most definitely had Talon's need for speed.

Later that night Assana took Cannon for his first Race. She only entered him in a beginners race but she was still proud and overjoyed when they won.
Assana was approached by and international trainer before she left with Cannon. The woman wanted to buy him for stud purposes and further training. She offered $5,250 which Assana took as a fair price.

Not wanting to go home empty handed, but not interested in buying an expensive stallion, Assana goes to the rescue side of the stables and looks at the horses there. She's saddened to see so many foals in there without their mothers, but she stops at a stallions gate. He seemed sad and maybe a little empty. The handler came up to talk to Assana and told her he had little training, but he was willing.
Assana paid an adoption fee (or donation) and took him home. She wanted to give this horse some training and make sure he found a good home where he could be a proper horse.

The fact that his name was Clipclop and that he was so gentle and willing, told Assana that he might make a great children's horse.
She spent the next day getting to know him and helping him to settle into his new home.

A few days later it started to snow. And when it snowed, Dusty Cloud, Cannon and Magic's colt, was born. Autumn watched in amazement and followed the wobbly colt around for a while with Magic watching.
The light dusting of snow melted a bit during the day, so Assana took Autumn out for some race training. The mare was fast and built for speed. There was a race later that day that Assana was going to enter her in and she was confident that they would win it.
The Sunset Valley Million had a reputation for having some of the best horses entering in it and Assana couldn't wait to see where Autumn would stand against them.
Sadly they didn't come first. But Assana was still happy that they came second. It had been a hard race and the competitors had been some of the best.

Over the next few days, winter hits and it starts snowing heavily. Assana continued to train Autumn Cloud but also started spending more time with the new Stallion, Clipclop, and the foal, Dusty.
Assana enters Autumn into a few more races, but starts concentrating on training her jumping skills, hoping to get her into some cross country soon.

Assana spent the morning with the horses. She brushed them, making sure the ice didn't crust their manes and tails and made sure the water trough had not frozen over. And gave Dusty some extra milk to make sure he was getting enough nourishment.
Now that the grass was covered in snow she'd have to start buying hay for them. She wasn't looking forward to the extra chore or the extra money she would have to spend. But if that's what she had to do to keep her horses happy and healthy then that's what she'd do.

Just as the snow was settling in and was getting deeper, Dusty matured into a fine stallion.
Assana brushed him down and fitted a saddle to him. She spent the rest of the day riding him around town and getting him used to cars, dogs and other people.

The next day she tried him out on some jumps and found that he followed in his mothers hoof prints. He could flew over every jump she set before him.
She had a feeling this stallion would become a star.
